Sponsorship disclosure.

What sponsorship buys here, what it does not, and how you can tell which is which.

The rules

Four commitments that do not move.

  • Sponsored content will be labelled.
  • Sponsorship does not guarantee endorsement.
  • Sponsors do not control editorial conclusions.
  • Audience data is not sold to sponsors.

How sponsored content is labelled

Any video, article, newsletter placement, webinar, report or roundtable produced with commercial support is labelled as sponsored where you meet it, rather than in a footnote. Where a partner has contributed to a research piece, their involvement and the methodology are disclosed alongside the findings.

What sponsorship does not buy

  • Editorial conclusions, ratings or recommendations.
  • Removal or softening of criticism about a product category.
  • Access to newsletter subscriber data.

Relevance before revenue

Partnerships are declined where the fit is not genuine for this audience, and that happens. A sponsorship is only worth holding while the people reading still trust what they read here.

If a label looks wrong

If you think something has been labelled unclearly, say so through the contact form and it will be corrected.
